Our purpose

At Adamas, we are driven by a deep sense of purpose: to make everyday life significantly better for people affected by neurological diseases

Personally committed to make a difference

Many of us at Adamas have seen and experienced firsthand the debilitating effect that neurological diseases can have on patients, their families, and their friends. We all strive to make a positive impact on their lives.

Everyone’s journey is different, and in chronic progressive diseases it’s often the small things that make a big difference. We are uplifted by helping a patient be able to tie his shoes again. We work tirelessly so a grandmother might hold her granddaughter. We keep going so a coffee-lover can simply hold their cup of coffee in the morning. We want to make a difference – care partners, physicians, employees, and primarily patients. That’s the purpose that motivates us every day.

Putting patients first

We strive to make a clinically meaningful difference every day for people affected by neurological diseases, and to better the lives of care partners, families, and society. Everything we do at Adamas is dedicated to improving the lives of the patients who guide our work. This dedication shapes our vision:

To deliver innovative medicines that improve lives and reduce the burden of neurological diseases on patients, caregivers, and society.

To carry out this vision, we focus on what will truly deliver an impact. We prioritize our efforts and strive for continuous improvement in key areas that contribute to the success of our vision:

Thriving with Parkinson's

Working with patient advocacy organizations

At Adamas, our work extends beyond our portfolio and pipeline; we are committed to serving patients and care partners in a meaningful way. Our approach to advocacy is to partner with mission-driven patient organizations to jointly develop programs and resources that make a difference to peoples’ lives – for the person living with the disease, their care partner, their family, and the broader Parkinson’s community.

Many of our patient advocacy partners have been working with us long-term, and we have established a foundation of trust, respect, and authenticity that reflects our company culture. The collaboration that occurs in our patient advocacy work – between our partners and our employees who volunteer their time at patient advocacy events and support important advocacy programs – is fueled by creativity and passion to support the patient community.

Our partnerships help drive impactful educational programs led by advocacy organizations directly to people with Parkinson’s and their families. Our advocacy approach also helps bring the voice of the person living with Parkinson’s and their perspective directly into our company, culture, and our people. This shapes our strategic focus and the execution of our priorities and key programs – to put patients first.

“Working closely with our patient advocacy partners to make a real difference to people’s lives, and hearing the personal stories from people with Parkinson’s and their care partners, inspires me every day. I’m happy to be a part of the team effort at Adamas making a difference in the PD community, and to know that this is something everyone at Adamas is passionate about.”
