The Vice President, Marketing & Sales will be responsible for leading and building a team that will manage the marketing and sales management functions for Adamas products currently in development through commercialization. Key objectives include all product positioning and messaging, marketing campaigns, pre-commercialization through commercialization, promotional communications and leading the sales strategy of all Adamas products. As the lead of the Brand Teams, this position will be expected to play a hands-on role on the development and execution of launch plans and the development of strategies for products in development. Additionally, this position will work closely with the Project teams to ensure that all Integrated Brand Plans are developed and implemented in alignment with company goals and objectives.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Builds and manages high performing sales and marketing teams
  • Owns the development and implementation of integrated launch plans, customer messaging, facilitation and alignment of promotional decisions as well as finalizing the “go to market” strategy for launching our products on our own as well as with partners
  • Ensures collaboration between cross functional commercial teams either internally or externally to effectively implement sales and marketing plans and materials, as well as understanding the market access landscape for the successful commercialization of Adamas’ products that will produce the highest possible long-term market share
  • Development and execution of  comprehensive and innovative marketing strategies (promotional/non-promotional) and tactics including disease state education and branded product messaging, positioning and objection handling
  • Provides commercial input on identifying unmet needs, positioning assets, and forecasting
  • Continuously evaluates the market landscape, including monitoring and assessment of the effectiveness of marketing and promotional strategies and tactics
  • Develops and manages the sales and marketing budgets consistent with the financial goals and objectives of the company, including efficient management of any partners, vendors and contracted resources
  • Develops sales forecasts, collaborates with sales operations, and ensures the facilitation of all training initiatives. Effectively monitors the performance of sales regions to ensure performance targets
  • Ensures all marketing and promotional materials are subject to appropriate internal review, including medical review for accuracy, and DDMAC as needed
  • Builds and maintains relationships with partners, vendors, and key accounts to ensure strong business relationships are formed and nurtured
  • Provides support to business development as needed
  • Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as, US healthcare laws and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and 15 years sales management and marketing experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
  • Recent experience launching products with demonstrated success on meeting and/or exceeding launch objectives and goals
  • Proven ability to build high performing sales and marketing functions
  • Experience with CNS product sales is highly desired
  • Experience collaborating with external stakeholders in the development of Integrated Brand Plans and launches
  • In-depth knowledge of promotional and selling processes that achieve high quality results
