Seeking a strong leader with an extensive background in pharmaceutical supply chain and distribution strategy, optimization and management for commercial products. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills. The primary responsibilities of this position are to ensure effective supply chain preparation for and execution of product launch and commercialization. This position requires a strong background in leading teams, and communicating with internal customers, contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) and distribution vendors outside of the company.  This position reports to the Vice President, Manufacturing Operations and is based in Emeryville, California.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Plans and communicates of all supply chain activities at Adamas
  • Manages all import, export, brokerage, storage and transportation for drug substance and commercial drug product
  • Monitors, optimize and track inventory and distribution of commercial products
  • Coordinates and collaborates with partners, CMOs, suppliers, and internal Company teams to ensure production timelines are met
  • Acts as the lead Adamas contact for all demand planning and projections for commercial material
  • Proactive planning and reliable execution of commercial pharmaceutical product supply throughout the product life cycle
  • Assists in building a commercial supply chain infrastructure, including implementation of a materials management system
  • Assists in implementation of a robust track and trace system to comply with current and upcoming regulations
  • Works closely with Adamas Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory and Commercial groups to align activities and help assure product integrity and regulatory compliance
  • Develops, communicates and implements contingency plans for unplanned events
  • Moderate travel to communicate with contractors and partners
  • Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as, US healthcare laws and regulations


  • B.S./B.A. in science, engineering, business operations or related fields
  • At least 12 years working in a highly regulated technical industry, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in leading globally outsourced pharmaceutical supply chain and distribution activities
  • Experience in managing complex supply chain and distribution strategies
  • Experience in leading the effective preparation for commercial launch of pharmaceutical products
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written)
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong prioritization skills
  • Experience managing groups outside the company (external contractors) preferred
  • High proficiency with databases, ERP systems and customary computer-based planning tools required
  • Successful experience in fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
